Two identical 30-foot high bronze figures, designed by Oskar J. W. Hansen, serving as principal decoration at Boulder Dam. One figure sits on either side of the 125-foot flagstaff, facing the gorge of Black Canyon of the Colorado River over the crest of Boulder Dam. An inscription at the base of the flagpole honors those whose vision and labor made the dam a reality.
