| The Broadmoor-Cheyenne Highway makes a sensational climb up the north eastern slope of beautiful old Cheyenne Mountain, terminating at the 'Horns' on the summit, at an altitude of 9,500 feet. It is the most remarkable road building achievement in the state, thrilling in the extreme, yet safe, the sides protected with stout fences, the road broad and smooth and the curves wide. The highway features six miles of switchbacks that climb over 3000 feet. |
