Additional Details:
The site of Santa fee (City of the Holy Faith) was originally an Indian Pueblo. Onate had established his first capital at San Gabriela in 1598; in 1605 this was moved to the present site of Santa Fe, at which place a small Spanish village existed. This old house was one of the early structures of that time.
