Miniature Florida Peninsula, Ravine Gardens
Additional Details:
| Conceived in the imaginations of a few Palatka dreamers, initiated by the Municipality of Palatka, advanced through the use of FERA labor and brought to fruition by Civil Works appropriations of materials and men. The largest single collection of azaleas in the world, 95,000, including 64 of the known 72 varieties, all that will live in an outdoor climate are contained in these gardens, with shades ranging from a pure white to a deep crimson. Palatka, through its city commission, hereby welcomes the visitors. It is happy to entertain them and trusts that they may find the gratification of the sense of beauty well worth the effort. |
