| The Main Greenhouse of the Conservatory is 650 feet long with over 120,000 square feet under glass. Inside the greenhouse will be found flowers numerous in variety and more beautiful than can be described; here also are growing fruit trees from many parts of the globe, as well as domestic fruit trees bearing out of season. In the conservatory is one of the most complete organs in the world; it has over 10,000 pipes, 200 stops, and many complete divisions, such as chimes, trumpets, percussion instruments, piano-in fact, all the instruments of a symphonic orchestra. |
