| Bridging the Colorado River in the bottom of Grand Canyon, this suspension bridge connects the two rims of the canyon by trail. Completed in 1928, its steel sections were packed down on mules, while the ten cables which support the bridge were unrolled and carried down the trail, on the shoulders of Indians. |
