In the many colors of its layered walls and in the black rock of its gorge, it reveals a great story of change in the earth's crust. From mid afternoon until sunset is best for color photography because the canyon colors then are most vivid. Illustrated talks are given every summer evening at the amphitheater near the visitor center. |
