| The sunset paints the waters of the terraces of Minerva Spring on a winter's evening in Mammoth Hot Springs. Terraces are formed from mineral deposits discharged by the flowing water. Minerva fluctuates between periods of activity and inactivity, but at time the water flow has been so high that the surrounding boardwalk was moved and elevated to prevent it from being buried. |
