| The grand opening of the Irma Hotel took place in November of 1902 with 500 guests in attendance. Colonel Cody spared no expense for the elegant and lavish opening. According to the Cody Enterprise construction costs for the Irma Hotel approached $80,000. By 1908 Cody had become a bustling community due to revenue coming into the area from the construction of irrigation projects. |
