Additional Details:
When the dam was completed in 1910, it was the first arch dam in the world, and also the highest at 325 ft. It provided a water storage of 375,900 acre ft. Construction began again in 1988 to raise the crest of the dam by 25 ft thereby increasing water storage to 623,557 acre ft. Also, a new 18 MW power plant was built downstream of the dam. Construction was completed in 1991.
