| The beautiful Oak Alley was built between 1830-39 by Jacques Telepher Roman III. Originally named Bon Sejour, the name was later changed to Oak Alley because of the interest in the avenue of Oaks. The double row of live oaks have long since formed a canopy from the road to the house. |
