Additional Details:
| The Cleveland Oak in Live Oak Gardens at Jefferson Island, Louisiana is a typical example of many large ancient oak trees in the South. This one is 350 years old and is a member of the Live Oak Society. President Cleveland is said to have taken his siestas under it when he visited Joe Jefferson. Some of these southern varieties of oak have very small leaves, in contrast to the large leaved northern oaks. |
