The front features a hand-drawn illustration of a stork carrying a baby, accompanying a poetic greeting for a new baby. The poem reads: "We are happy to know that a baby dear / To your hearts and your home / has come to bring cheer. / With all things the best, / Which give life a zest, / May Father and Mother and Baby be blest." Initials "L.F.P." are at the bottom right of the poem box, and "W.C.T.U." is handwritten at the top right. The back includes a handwritten New Year's greeting from Lucinda Smith. |
