| On February 3rd 1973, the resumption of the operational control of the Providence & Worcester Co. took place after almost 85 years of being leased to the New Haven R.R. and of late the Penn Central. Shown here at Woonsocket, R.I. is one of five diesel units acquired from the Delaware & Hudson. The engines are numbered 161 to 165. February 14, 1973. |
