"Old Barney," Barnegat Light. N.J., built in 1858 is 172 feet high, located on the northern tip of Long Beach Island, is a great attraction for visitors. The lighthouse was last used as a navigation aid in 1927 thereafter it was replaced by a lightship off shore for many years. Area around light is now a State Park.
