to Protect the Lawyer
For the protection of members of the bar, the founders
of CITY TITLE INSURANCE COMPANY formulated
and have conscientiously observed the following rules:
1 - To accept no business from laymen or the public
at large and to insist that the insured be rep-
resented at title closings by their own attorneys.
2- To draw no contracts of sale nor any other legal
documents for laymen, but require that they
retain and be represented by their personal
attorneys.
3- To permit no lawyer employee of this organiza-
tion to be retained by laymen in connection with
title applications.
4 - To serve attorneys exclusively.
