Founded Nov. 1st, 1776. The adobe building that forms the east side of the quadrangle is known as Father Serra's Church. This is not only the oldest part of the Mission, but the oldest building in the State. The church was restored by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. St. John O'Sullivan.
