This stalagmite is the tallest of the so called "Totem Poles" and is 42 feet high. A comparison with the Ranger in the foreground shows its height. The array of stalactites above makes this one of the most beautiful sights in this underground Fairyland in NEW MEXICO. The temperature in the Caverns is 56° summer and winter.
