| The blossom of this plant is the State Flower of Arizona and it is peculiar to the lower altitudes of Arizona, California and parts of New Mexico and Texas. In May and June the white blossoms appear, followed a month or two later by the bright red fruit, which when ripened is sweet and considered a great delicacy. |
