Illustration shows Santa Claus in a blue and red suit holding a large, ornate scroll. The scroll is inscribed with 'A Merry Christmas' and the verse: 'May the Year that Dawns to-day, Bring Sunshine on thy way.' Followed by stylized initials. A small steamship is depicted at the bottom of the scroll with the mark 'BOS' below it. The card has a gold, embossed background with holly leaves and berries. The reverse shows a postmark from St. Paul, MN, dated DEC 13, 1909, addressed to Sweden, with a two-cent U.S. postage stamp.
