| The Cunard Liner IVERNIA, 14,210 tons, 580 feet long, 64 feet wide, twin-screw is shown passing Brighton, England out-bound on a transatlantic voyage. Her maiden voyage was April 14, 1900. She could steam 16 knots on the Liverpool-New York run. She carried 164 first, 200 second and 1,600 third class passengers. She was torpedoed and sunk 58 miles from Cape Matapan, January 1, 1917, with 36 lives lost. Her sistership was the SAXONIA. |
