Pocahontas was brought captive to Jamestown, John Rolfe fell in love with her and having obtained the consent of the governor, Sir Thomas Dale and her father, Powhatan, married her in April, 1614. In 1616 Rolfe took his wife to England as Lady Rebecca. |
