24388 U.S.S. HOLLISTER (DD-788) A general purpose destroyer of the Gearing Class honoring the three Hollister brothers who were killed in action during World War II. The ship was built by Todd Shipyard Corp. at Seattle, Wash. and commissioned on 29 March 1946.
