Additional Details:
Built in 1903 as the First Baptist Church, the building was donated by Captain W.C. Tyrrell to the city of Beaumont, Texas in 1924. It housed the Beaumont Public Library until 1975 when it became the Tyrrell Historical Library for historical and genealogical research.
