Additional Details:
It is here in the Temple of Sinawava that the sculptured cliffs display the greatest profusion of color - from delicate pink to scarlet, vermilion and pompeian red. Tradition says it was a ceremonial place of the aboriginal Indians. There they placed their offerings of fruit and flesh, but none would spend the night in the sacred precincts.
