Additional Details:
Passive Seismic Experiments Package (PSEP) deployed on the moon's surface, July 20, 1969. Two packages were left on the moon for scientific purposes. The PSEP is to record moonquakes or other disturbances. The Laser Ranging Retro-Reflector is to measure the exact distance of the moon from the earth. Astronauts' footprints on the lunar surface are in evidence. While this equipment was left on the moon, the astronauts brought back 2 boxes of lunar rocks for scientific research.
