| The Historic State Capitol Building (in the right of the picture) was completed in 1845, the year Florida became a state, and has now been restored, and remains part of the Capitol Hill Complex. The New Capitol Building is twenty-two floors above ground and is two and one-half floors below ground. The building is 514 feet above sea level and 307 feet above ground. An observation deck on the 22nd floor offers the visitor a panoramic view of Florida's Capitol City. |
