THE BLOCK-CATTS HOUSE
Washington, Arkansas
Built in 1832, this is one of the oldest houses in the
area. It was donated to the Washington Restoration
Foundation in 1958 by E. C. Catts, of Atlanta, Ga.,
whose family were its owners for half a century. The
house has been completely restored, and is used
headquarters for the Foundation. Period furnishings
throughout are by Mrs. Charles A. Haynes.
