You've forgotten the God of our fathers,
rejected His Son, who set all men free.
Now America, you seek that old Spirit of '76.
But, besieged by the forces of darkness,
you're morally sick . . . spiritually lost.
Awake America, to the New Spirit of '76!
Pray that God's Spirit dwells within us all,
to rekindle new pride in our country.
Come Holy Spirit, heal our sin sick land,
and bring us to faith through Christ.
