The furnishings and equipment of the
Volcano House are modern in every particu-
lar. Rooms are seperate or en suite. Sep-
arate cottages are available for families.
The cuisine is in charge of a first-class chef
and is beyond reproach. The Volcano House
maintains its own private poultry farm and
dairy herds, and possesses extensive grounds
with fruit, flower and vegetable gardens,
tennis courts, etc., etc. The location of the
Volcano House is unique. It stands in an
absolutely safe position on the very brink of
the vast active crater of Kilauea Volcano,
and not only commands an uninterrupted
view of the awe-inspiring phenomena, but
also overlooks the largest individual moun-
