| Located at Mason & Washington Streets, the cable car barn and powerhouses was built in 1887 by the ferries & Cliff Houses Railroad. Levelled in the 1906 earthquake and fire, it was completely restored and has been unchanged since. It was designated a Registered National Historic Landmark in 1964. |
