Our stay in Carlsbad was worth the
107 temp. Really, the heat felt very healthy.
The Caverns are awesome and one feels as
he is walking through an enormous
cathedral. Should you decide on another
trip, this would really be worth seeing.
At night there is a bat flight where bats
fly out of the cave 5,000 /minute for 30%
minutes. A huge cloud hovers over the

desert for miles. We shall be in Vegas day (22 miles), which was almost
tonight and shall then go on to Calif.
Stayed 2 days in the Grand Carry on area
at kaibad Nat'l Fest. Walked to the
grave
mistake. The last 3 miles we almost
had heart attacks and we are still recovering
from exhaustion. Left at 11: am and returned
bottom of the canyon and back in one at 3:30 am. See you
