This color linen postcard features a split view of the Hotel La Palma in Palm Springs. The left panel shows a horse-drawn carriage in front the hotel. The right panel features an interior view of the hotel's dining room. There is a small inset photo above the dining room of a mountain that resembles Lincoln's profile. The back of the card describes the hotel's amenities: "Mild Winter Climate. Dry Air. Hot sulphur springs close by. Stopping place of United Stages. Horses and Autos to Palm Canyon. Meals at all hours. Home cooking. Cottages. Rates $3.50 to $5.00 per day." A handwritten message reads, "This is before this place was 'discovered' by the Hollywood set. Now $50 per day is cheap accommodations and all these places shown have been torn down and replaced with plated hotels!"
