POST OFFICE COLLMBA CALE HALL U.S. POST OFFICE IN THE BUILDING OCCUPIED IN THE EARLY DAYS BY HILDEBRANDS RESTAURANT 7870 Built in 1854. First used as a restaurant with lodging rooms above. later a saloon occupied the lower floor, while the upper floor served as a meeting hall. The elaborate cast iron balcony grill was shipped from the east, around the horn. ELIAS' TOY SHOP, NEXT DOOR, BUILT IN 1854 Originally this building housed a toy shop, but during the late '50's Chas. Schnieder bought the property. For over twenty years it was known as 'Schnieder's Tonsorial Parlor', and was furnis- hed with red plush barber chairs, and trimmed with gold braid and gold tassels.
