By building The
Depression Palace (The Strangest House in the
World). In 1929 George Daynor arrived in Vine-
land, N. J. stone broke. He settled on an automo-
bile dump in a mosquito laden swamp. The
ground was worth only one dollar an acre. Work-
ing alone and with only his TWO HANDS he
built out of the clay and auto parts a beautiful
palace of unusual architecture! (It took him 3
years.)
