From the Provincetown municipal Airport on one of the daily sightseeing flights over the tip of Cape Cod. Taking off to the southwest from Provincetown Airport, you first fly over Race Point and famous Race Point Light, the very tip of Cape Cod. Turning south your flight passes off New Beach and the State Bathhouse, across the Moors, the Breakwater, and over Povincetown Harbor. To the right you see Wood End and Long Point Lighthouse while underneath are the fish traps and the Provincetown fishing fleet. You left with its quaint houses huddled along the shore and look down on the 486 foot Pilgrim Memorial Monument and the fish piers. Crossing into North Truro your flight passes over Pilgrim Lake and the scenic sand dunes then follows the beautiful open ocean beach back to Provincetown Airport. The flight is 17 miles long and takes about 12 minutes. If takeoff is made to the northeast, the above points are seen in the reverse order. This surely is the best way for you to see the Tip of Cape Cod.
