Sitting Room, in original setting, shows two of
four rocking chairs that were known to have
been used.
This adobe, built in 1850-1853 by Raimundo
Yorba, was purchased in 1868 by Fenton Mercer
Slaughter. It was preserved as a memorial to
him by his daughter. The Butterfield Stage
Coach used this place to change horses.
