The restored original structures, belonging to the Lost City group and built perhaps 1000 years ago, are now under the waters of Lake Mead. The Overton Museum of Archeology and the Lost City portion of the Boulder Dam National Recreational Area are 89 miles by paved highways from Boulder City, and 65 miles form Las Vegas, Nevada.
