Dworshak Dam site and Canoe Camp Shown also is the confluence of the North Fork of the Clearwater River (left) and the Clearwater River at Ahsahka, Idaho. The dam, to be finished in 1967 is being constructed at farthest visible bend of left hand river. Lewis and Clark "burned out the holler of our canoes" at bottom center of photo in 1805. Orofino is located 4 miles upstream on Clearwater River. A modern lumber mill is located at left of photo.
