Idaho's Farragut State Park, Site of the 1965 Girl Scout Senior Roundup, on 50 mile long Lake Pend Oreille. The distant mountains are the Cabinets, on the right are the Bitterroots and the Selkirks are on the left. Buttonhook Bay is the name of the intriguing cove. Cape Horn is at center of picture, just above Bayview the "Floating Village", which is on Squaw Bay. The huge ovals are the site of the Round Up - former site of Farragut Naval Training in World War II. Sandpoint lies at the other end of this beautiful lake. Coeur d'Alene is 25 miles back of plane point. |
