“Bergen Pines,” Bergen County Hospital, is
one of the country's best institutions of its
class, caring for patients with communicable
diseases and actively engaged in various
phases of public health work, with a series of
clinics located throughout the county. Is
headquarters for the Bergen County Public
Health and Sanitary Association and for the
Bergen County Committee for the Prevention
of Diphtheria. It serves as a clearing house
for many public health activities, and effi-
ciently discharges important functions relative to
public health. The principal diseases cared for
are Scarlet Fever, Diphtheria, Tuberculosis, etc.
