HATCH MEMORIAL BAND SHELL ALONG THE
CHARLES RIVER BASIN
The late James J. Storrow, investment banker,
bequeathed his large fortune for the purpose of
improving and beautifying the Charles River
Basin. It is now one of the beauty spots of the
metropolitan district. At the Hatch Memorial
Band Shell, the famous Boston Symphony Or-
chestra gives free outdoor concerts to the public
in summer.
