The greater part of stored mineral wealth in
the Southwest is the Petroleum Industry.
There are many large producing areas in
Texas and New Mexico containing more than
100 known reservoirs of oil. Panhandle gas
field, underlying this area is the largest
known natural gas reservoir in the world. Gas
is piped to the East and West Coasts and
even to Mexico. Crude Oil Refineries
Carbon Black Plants - Pumping Stations
Large Pipelines Transporting Office
Buildings are all products of this giant
industry.
