BRADFORD HOSPITAL the World's First Aluminum Hos-
pital, serving eight northwestern Pennsylvania counties
since 1885, is the nucleus of a Northwestern Pennsylvania
Medical Center. The photographed unit was completed
in 1951 as part of a progressive program designed to
unite all of the medical facilities in the area it serves.
Bradford, located on U. S. Route 219, is the northeast
entrance to the Allegheny National Forest.
