DEEDS CARILLON is in several ways the
most unusual of carillon towers. The shaft in.
cluding foundation, is 186 1/2 feet. The "chan-
delier” of 32 bells, weighing 33 tons, hangs ex-

posed to view. Largest bell is six feet in di-
ameter, smallest is 18 inches. Half-hour pro LN 14
grams twice weekly, except in winter. Given to 1545
community by Mrs. Edward A. Deeds, civic
leader and music patroness.
