One of the nation's most scenic railroads, this
diesel powered combination passenger and bag-
gage coach is affectionately nicknamed "The
Skunk". Traveling the 40 mile mountainous,
forest-lined, winding route between Ft. Bragg
and Willits, this train travels over trestles,
through tunnels and sharp turns where the track
can be seen below, delivering mail as the only
contact for homesteaders of this wilderness
area.
