If you are fond of travel this poem makes it plain When it comes to goin Places you can't beat. One afternoon while flying around within the state We was the sight of many lands as I will now related. We took off down in Mexico with an extra load of gas And when the tank was empty landed in the town of Bath. From Albion to Calais was just a little start So heading over Dover we soon passed thru Denmark. Frankfort had slipped beneath us, Norway was on our beam, Brunswick has disappeared behind them Lisbon too was seen. We sailed in sight of Sweden where spuds are freight car high, Of Stockholm and Vienna, of Madrid and Argyle. We circled over Moscow just in case the folks were home, The trip was barely started so we turned away for Rome. Naples did not detain us - Palermo not at all, Next Carthage, Colony of Troy - we were getting on the ball. Dresden was somewhat off the course - too bad, alas alack, Poland, Jemtland, Lubec, Bristol - all passed beneath our track. The course was set for China - Athens soon came in view, Corinth, Carmel, Canaan, Gilead, Hebron - Palmyra too. We nearly missed Sorrento, it would have been a shame, A paradise near Eden and on the Coast of Maine From Lebanon to Egypt then to canton. For a spree We sat down for an hour and tried the native tea. By now the sun was fairly low and so for something new We pointed north to Fairbanks right handy to Peru. This brought us close to Paris - it wasn't quite the same As what you mebbe have in mind for We were still in Maine.
