This aerial view shows the Technical Area of the Laboratories in Albuquerque,
New Mexico, Branches of Sandia are located in Livermore, California and
near Tonopah, Nevada, where the Laboratories operates the Tonopah Test
Range. Sandia pursues nuclear weapons projects and is also involved in a
number of energy projects for the Department of Energy. The Laboratories
is a subsidiary of Western Electric and the Bell System.
