Otoe County's Courthouse

| Otoe County's courthouse is the oldest public office building, in continuous use, in the state. On August 13, 1864, the people got together and voted $22,500 for a county court house. In the fall of the next year district court was held in the building after various meanderings about town in log cabins and upstairs halls. |
