First Size La France Piston Engine, built 1905. Diameter of Pumps, 5 1/4 -in.; Steam Cylinder 8 3/4 -in.; Stroke, 9 in. Drawn by three horses. Equipped with rubber tires and weighs, ready for service, 10,940 lbs. Placed in service Feb. 1, 1906. Also combination Wagon built as a hose-wagon in 1892, and changed to a combination Wagon in 1899. Drawn by two horses and is fitted with rubber tires and roller-bearing axies. Carries 700 ft. of 2 1/2 -in. Hose and 200 ft. of 3/4 in. Hose. Is equipped with one 30-gal. Tank and weights, ready for service, 4,136 lbs. Placed in service as Combination Wagon April 14, 1899. Company consists of 1 Capt., 1 Lieut., 5 Hose-men, 1 Engine-Man, 1 asst. Engine-Man, 1 Hose-Driver, and 1 Engine-Driver. |
